No dear Lena, this is no real snow! I suppose that the peaks of the original ice-crystals were melted by the sun. After the sun had disappeared, the molten drops of water are frozen to small ice pearls. Now you see a mixture of crystals and frozen drops which look like lilac blossoms :-)))
While I cycled, I saw 5 roe deer in the cycle track. I stopped to take a photo of the roe deer. Until I had taken off my gloves and my camera was ready to shoot, the roe deer had already disappeared in the wood. Only one animal stopped before the wood. You can see it as a point in the middle of the photo :-)))
Yes, at the moment I also have a lot of work. However, I cycle at least my everyday way to the office by the bicycle. Now in the snow it lasts a little longer than in summer :-))
Yes dear Gypsy, here in Weserbergland is still 15 cm snow, temperature -8°C! I saw your photos of Duisburg Weihnachtsmarkt and was surprised, how wet it was there!
With -8C the snow will be around for a while. Temperatures around 2 degrees in Duisburg and the Netherlands with rain-snow that has changed into ice. Very dangerous on the roads! Enjoy the snow and take care when cycling!
The snow on the branches is not fluffy and did not fall from the sky. :-) By the high air humidity ice-crystals have grown on the branches. But I agree with you, dear Lena: it's beautiful :-))
